On October 14th, 2020 at 7pm, The Whiting Library hosted Cheryl Joy Lipton and Robert Nied of the Chester Community Greenhouse and Gardens for a Zoom virtual presentation all about our town’s greenhouse project. We found out the story of how the greenhouse project came about, including some fascinating details about the historic greenhouse building itself and it’s move to Chester.

Everyone learned how a community greenhouse allows us to grow and/or enjoy food grown right here in Chester all year round. Participants asked questions about the greenhouse and all the possibilities it holds for growing food in your own backyard to this fun and informative evening.
