🌞 Challenge Yourself to Read This Summer! 

The Summer Reading Challenge invites you to dive into a world of free activities, engaging programs, and library adventure while fostering continuous reading and learning throughout summer vacation.

How Does It Work?

  • Sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge using this Google Form.
  • Select your Summer Reading Challenge(s) in the Youth Room.
  • Embark on your summer reading adventure by reading, writing, and completing fun activities.
  • Visit the library throughout the summer for additional fun, books, and to report your reading accomplishments for weekly prizes (while supplies last).
  • Earn additional raffle tickets for reaching reading milestones.

Earn 1 Raffle Ticket for Special Raffle Prizes:

  • For every 2 hours you read
  • For every Special Signpost you reach on the Summer Reading Road Trip and the Summer Camp Reading Challenge.

Important Dates for the Summer Reading Challenge:

  • Saturday, June 22nd, 11 AM: Summer Reading Challenge Kickoff Waffle Party
  • Saturday, June 22nd: First Day to Log Minutes and Reading Challenge Accomplishments for Raffle Tickets & Weekly Prizes
  • Wednesday, June 26th, 1 PM: The Nature Museum programs begin for 7 Wednesdays through August 7th.
  • Saturday, July 20th, 10:30 AM: Tie Dye and Bubbles Party
  • Saturday, August 10th: Last day to log minutes and submit Reading Challenge Accomplishments for prizes
  • Saturday, August 17th, 10:30 AM: Summer Reading Awards Party – Celebrate the amazing kids who took on the summer reading challenge! Raffle prizes will be drawn and ice cream cone rewards presented. Prize winners will be notified by email and do not need to be present to win.

Don’t miss the Summer 2024 Nature Museum Programs, held Wednesdays at 1 PM! From June 26th to August 7th, join us for seven consecutive Wednesdays as we delve into the wonders of the natural world. These special programs, led by an Environmental Educator from The Nature Museum, promise an enriching experience for all ages.

Set against the backdrop of Northern New England’s unique ecology, these programs are tailored for youth ages Pre-K through elementary grades. Whether indoors or outdoors, rain or shine, join us for stories, exploration, and learning!
