Kids looking for a fun opportunity to dive into the wonderful world of Pokémon are in for a treat. With this group, students can enjoy the camaraderie and educational opportunities in-person at Whiting Library. But this is also a perfect opportunity to let the learners be the teachers, and believe me, Pokémon players will love to bring adults and fellow students into the game. The group is child-led and guided by an adult volunteer.
After School Pokémon Club will meet once per month for an hour. Participating students have access to tools to learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and other fun activities and resources. Students should not bring Pokémon Trading Cards that are valuable or ones that they are not willing to lose in a trade.
Games are an essential component of the library. Information presented in new formats, that encourage critical thinking and problem solving, and games that encourage social interaction among peers are just a few of the reasons to consider joining the Whiting Library After School Pokémon Club.
