All are welcome at this cookbook gathering for people who love books, cooking, planning meals, and sharing good food with friends. Participants cook a recipe using our current cookbook (see below) and bring a sample and a copy of the recipe to the group for discussion. At the meeting, participants will sample each other’s dishes and discuss the cookbooks, dishes, and cooking techniques involved. Making and sharing a dish is optional. Everyone is welcome to attend and to learn something new.
“Ethiopia: Recipes and Traditions from the Horn of Africa” by Yohanis Gebreyesus: Experience the wonderful flavors of Ethiopia and Chef Yohanis’s dazzling collection of recipes. Ethiopia stands as a land apart: never colonized, it celebrates ancient traditions. The fascinatingly distinct cuisine is influenced by a history enriched with a religious mix of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as some of the most fertile land on the continent.
