Whiting Library is delighted to announce that it has received a Supplemental Collection Equity Award from Region 7 of the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM). Through this grant, Whiting Library has acquired an additional 100 books on health issues of concern to our community. This new collection is supported by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under cooperative agreement number UG4LM013725.

Whiting Library also received a Winnie Belle Learned Fund grant for $2500 to purchase Wonderbooks Read-alongs for the Youth Collection. Every Wonderbook is a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids press play to read along with their favorite books and then switch to learning mode for literacy learning and fun.
